TERMS OF SALE

The manager determines the highest bidder & resolves any disputes. Merchandise is guaranteed as outlined below.

The minimum acceptable bid is about 50% to 70% of the current market value. When the auction is open for bidding, the minimum acceptable bids are shown on our website. When bids have been made, the current bid and the next minimum required bid is displayed.

A buyer’s premium (commission) of 20% of the selling price will be added to the winning bid. A sale at $500.00 will be billed $500.00 plus $100.00 (20%), for a total of $600.00.  

Illinois residents will be charged Illinois sales tax. Illinois residents providing a signed resale certificate and a copy of their current resale permit are exempt from sales tax. Residents of other states who have their purchases shipped out of Illinois will not be charged Illinois sales tax. This auction is conducted in Illinois, bidding in this auction indicates your understanding that any and all disputes will be resolved under applicable Illinois rules, regulations and/or laws.

We guarantee the merchandise offered in this sale to be free of repairs or damage unless noted in the description of each lot. Please refer to the DEFINITIONS for terms used in this catalog for clarification of our terminology. Sizes may be approximate. Should you need additional information about an item in our auction, please contact us. If the condition is found not to be as stated, the item may be returned within one week of receipt, but not later than 30 days after the auction date.

BIDDING INFORMATION

Bidding will commence when the auction is online on our website. Lots will start to close on the auction date at 2:00 pm (E.S.T or E.D.T.). We will close two lots per minute. However, if an item receives a bid in the last two minutes, bidding will be extended for two additional minutes.  

The highest bid will be reduced to one increment over the next highest bid, or to the minimum acceptable bid, whichever is higher. In case of ties, the first bid received wins. We reserve the right to reject any bid.

BIDDING INCREMENTS

$5.00            up to     $100.00.                               

$10.00          from      $100.00          to       $300.00.

$25.00          from      $300.00           to    $1,000.00.

$50.00          from      $1,000.00        to    $2,000.00.

$100.00        from      $2,000.00        to    $5,000.00.

$250.00        from      $5,000.00        to     $10,000.00.

$500.00        from      $10,000.00      to     $20,000.00.

$1000.00      from      $20,000.00      to      $50,000.00.

$5000.00      over       $50,000.00.

Successful bidders who have bid on our website will receive an invoice by email. 

Results of the auction will be available online within 48 hours after the close of the auction. Please do not call prior to 24 hours after the auction for results. Please do not call outside of our normal hours, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM (Central Time), Monday through Friday. 

Payment is due 15 days following the date of the auction. Payments later than 30 days from the auction date are subject to late payment fees. Payment is due in U.S. Funds; checks must be drawn on U.S. Banks. German and other European customers can make payments with Euros.   

For payments made by Visa, MasterCard or PayPal there will be a 4% administrative fee.

Any and all disputes are subject to the jurisdiction of the state and federal courts in Illinois.
